I jammed with Jimi all over NYC in 1969, too. This bass theme was one vehicle we used . ON my site "Superdreamer, on this page , the top widget has a copy of "NY Free Jazz Theme" which was part of our live recording ("Noah Howard Live at the Village Vanguard") in August of 1972 . The song names "Dedicated ( to Albert Ayler)" is the same basic bass line as the beginning of the Jimi Hendrix jam . The basic bass line became the musical Theme of "The NYC Free Jazz Festival of 1972 .
